MAIL Order Brides - be careful spending money there
I have said more than once, it is better to be lucky with mail order brides than good. Sometimes, I read some of these questions, and I think: Sheesh, what do these guys think? And then I read your experiences, and I realize that my experience is not necessarily indicative of everyone's. I have no idea what I would do if Victoria was like that. I would like to think that somehow I would have caught it early on, and we wouldn't have clicked the way we did... but I can't know that for certain. I think KenC's advice is good: Be careful how you spend money "over there"... we do sometimes teach them to expect things which aren't realistic. And beyond that I can only say: Good Luck one and all. My wife is a wonderful person. And there are more mail order brides like her out there. I hope you find them (cause you can't have mine! :-)
One of the mail order brides speaks out
Well, we started discussing financial problems literally during our first conversation on yahoo. He asked me what I expect. I answered honestly that 1. I don't want to work ever. Period. 2. I want a house (not luxury, just average) 3. Good car (again not luxury, but I wont drive a piece of junk) 4. To be free on spending money, I mean not to be controlled. I told him, that love, relationship etc goes first, but I wont even fall in love with a person that will not provide the level I want. He agreed. Since that time I just say - I want you to buy this... He already understood that I never waste money, on the opposite I try my best to save as much as I can. I know how much we spend on bills, I know our food budget, I know how much money is left and what we can (and can not) afford. I know the needs of each family member and we together put priorities. We trust each other. And I let him think he makes decisions...:-)
So you fell in love with him because he could offer an acceptable level as you put it? Hmm, I must have misunderstood this whole mail order brides love idea. I thought people fall in love with each others personality, not their pocket books. Why spend the extra cash in going to Russia to find mail order brides whose outlook on love is the same as here in the west? Thank God my Siberian hopeful isn't material to that point, and DOES want to work...
