I really think that you need to study a) Russian history , b) history of religion and Russian orthodox church in particular and c) just read the Bible (the part that describes dependency as an extreme point of love as a model for a family relationship. I hope the authors of this book are matured enough to be trustworthy) in order to understand mail order brides and the Russian culture, as it is based on all 3 of them. Not even my friend Sergei who is a Professor of English at the Institute in Kiev writes in this way. Donna thinks in English........ This was a very hot issue at that time. In January Donna began to post again. I traced her IP addresses to try to resolve my misgivings - The IP addresses all originate in Atlanta Georgia. Not Moscow as Donna would have us believe. If you do the same to Andrew's IP it originates in Helsinki, Finland. On this thread Donna's theme has been materialistic.

I have some limited knowledge of mail order brides and the culture. No decent woman would do this so early in a relationship. In Ukrainian culture this would be seen as VERY VERY RUDE. If a woman did this to a Ukrainian man he would conclude that he was dealing with a prostitute. I have no doubts at all on that score. Decent mail order brides would never act in this way. An American woman would be likely to take this approach though Gentlemen I trust you will draw the appropriate conclusions.
