There have been cases of cold feet before. Two come to mind, AJ & DJ (hhmmm.. coincidence?). Of course we all know AJ's wife eventually came around and joined him. DJ was not so lucky, so he's starting over.
Does your post give the final assessment of your friend's situation? The mail order brides K1 fiancee visa is good for 6 months. Many things can still change.

Perhaps, had the guy moved faster and brought her home before her phenylethylamine* wore off we would be hearing about his tragic divorce instead. It is also possible that their year apart gave her the impression that he did not care enough for her. In the absence of any comments from the woman, we will never know enough of the story.
One thing is a given: Mail order brides are not for men who are averse to travel.

P.S. Yes my dear Helen, "anamnesis" can also be used as a medical term. In this case, it is the history of romantic delusions of the mind coupled with a few intense physical encounters that resulted in a complete breakdown.
I should not be surprised that mail order brides often use this term! :chuckle:
