MAIL Order Brides - looks are never deceiving in this game
Gentlemen, In a thread of Captmonk in the advanced section, there is a photo of a guy looking for mail order brides. If you look like this guy, you will send the message that you are an American slob forever garbed in T-shirts and jeans.
Yes, many of us read all the hype about these mail order brides and about how well they dress, etc., but we forget to apply it to ourselves.
To all you guys who have never been to Russia:
Get a haircut
Get a shave
Get a man's wardrobe
mail order brides want their men to look as good as they do. Appearances are very, very important to them. Most would not want to be seen with Danny as he looks in that photo. I mean, you do not have to have the good looks of BillyB, but you must have some sartorial flair.
Would this gal walk down Nevsky Prospekt with the man above?

Matt,
As you seem to value your privacy on these mail order brides boards, what would you say if we used one of your photos as an example such as this? Especially used completely out of context to moralize about a topic that is "old hat" on these boards. Discussing dress is a frequent topic, I find it odd that others don't need to steal a photo to start the topic. Why use this person's photo stolen off his personal web page to make your example? You fail to mention that this is off his personal web page and was not sent to mail order brides.
So considering that a few questions for you...
How do you know that is even him and not a "joke photo"?
Did you request his permission to post his photo if it is him?
Do you know that the photo is even current?
Don't you think there are better ways of introducing a subject than to use other members here (posting or not) as the negative example? I would think a college professor could do this with words and would not have to use stolen photos to prove a point about this mail order brides search.
