MAIL Order Brides come from everywhere to visit Sochi
Garyc, you are probably right that Chisinau is a little too exotic. However, I am not sure Minsk is the answer. After all it is the capital city so mail order brides are bound to be more sophisticated and demanding. And I sense that the whole concept of matchmaking is less developed in Belarus, so there would be less candidates. Or am I totally wrong?

First off, welcome to the RWG and best of luck to you!
You have a very good and interesting approach to mail order brides, I think. Being able to spend 5 months on the ground will most likely be fruitful for you.
My personal choice for mail order brides is Sochi. Of course I say that because I met my lovely Wife Yulia there.
Sochi is on the Black Sea. It is known as the Russian Riviera. From May through September it is packed with tourists from all over Russia. So you might say that, while in Sochi you can meet mail order brides from every city, town and hamlet.
Sochi is the only designated tourist spot in all of Russia (I read this somewhere). The tourist trade employs mostly women. In my travels there I noticed that mail order brides greatly out number men. Not that many jobs for guys outside of construction. Women come from everywhere to work there. My wife was from a small village far from Sochi, but worked in Sochi for several summers. Not that many foreigners go to Sochi from what I see. I still get curious looks from people when they find out I'm an American.
Sochi is also in the running for the 2014 winter Olympics. The Russian government is throwing a lot of money at Sochi due to that prospect. The city is alive and moving. I'm a real estate developer, last time we were there, this past September and part of October I looked at some land deals. I was floored to find out that land in Sochi sells for $650,000 per acre! That is not a typo. Also I have never seen such a concentration of building cranes anywhere at any time. We will be returning to Sochi the day after Christmas and staying for a little over two weeks.
Oh one more thing that I almost forgot. In Sochi you can't swing a dead cat without hitting mail order brides that are 10's!
