I do agree with you that no matter what you do, some luck (or Fortune, or God, or whatever you choose to believe in) has to play a part in succeeding with mail order brides.

But the problem with "Luck" is that it is fickle.

So, I don't think we can fault someone who isn't willing to leave their love life completely to chance.

And, let's face it, even if luck is involved, there is a lot that can be done to reduce the odds.

And there's nothing wrong with that... IMHO...

I think it is a matter of balance...

I've made that statement here, BC. If I had to do this over again, I'd get on the plane and enjoy. For better or for worst. There are so many mail order brides there that aren't shy in meeting you.

Moscow/SP/NOVO anyway, as they are the only places I spent a good amount of time in.

Oh I believe the odds were much more favorable than I would have at the Lottery. And that's my point. Don't underestimate or discount the odds that are already in your favor.
