I just turned 43, myself, and like you I am just starting back into this. In my own case, anyone in the low 20's wouldn't work due to the "gossip factor". A school employee marrying someone half his age is going to be put on the "pedophile watch list". If you peruse the mail order brides dating sites, you'll find many 18 & 19 year-olds listing "up to 50" as acceptable. While they may be sincere, you've GOT to take into consideration what's going to happen 30 and 40 years down the road (assuming the marriage lasts that long). Pilgrim is dead-nuts-on with that point.

syrcuba, Acceptable age for you or for her? Well, in general I would think it depends on how old you look and how old you act. Mail order brides mostly go by what they see as opposed to what is said. In my case I'm almost at the half century mark yet people say that I look like I'm in my mid '30s. I never get any respect. So my wife is in her late '20s is perfectly acceptable. Boy, does my wife get cold stares from AW when we go out. Also, I'm a bit immature for my age and this helps in our relations. My wife's other mail order brides friends think that she is lucky to have a husband close to her age. Ha Ha! Age difference is what you make of it. There are a lot of other RW attributes that are more important. Try not to use the young age of mail order brides as a requirement. Ronin
