I bet the majority of unsuccessful marriages are because the mail order brides can be easily independent once they get into US. I also bet that the majority of unsuccessful marriages are the ones in which the mail order brides find it is more propelling and capable to find another man, such as because of their abilities or age gaps. Many men prefer to marry an older woman, not because they do not like the younger one, but because the marriage is more likely to be successful. For me, the language ability is not really a weakness, rather just a temporary thing. It provides a nice cushion for both sides to stabilize the relationship and entrench the marriage, before she is flying high and free in the new land.

Not that I am disagreeing with you just that I think your percentages are off, imho. Yes mail order brides and AW are alike in a 'few' ways but are not alike in 'many' ways. Any man who has spent time with or is in a relationship with mail order brides can see the differences right off & that is what makes them so danged attractive. I call it 'sexiness'. I don't know how else to explain it, it's just something they have that attracts a man like a moth to a flame. Good looks will only go so far but that 'sexiness' seems to last.

If mail order brides are interested in you only as "a green card" option to escape from their country, it doesn't matter if they know English or don't know any. She will leave you sooner or later... And also, don't you think that eventually she will learn English anyway, because there will be nothing for her to do at home? And if she is only interested to find another man and another job, she will find it without the knowledge of the language (look around, have you ever seen any Mexican workers who don't understand any English). And also, I have a project for you.
Don't you think that mail order brides staying in a foreign country and having nobody there as well as very restricted in the laws should have really serious reasons to leave you???
